Good Soul Here

I spent this weekend in Connecticut with one of my closest friends from college. Although we tend to drift because of different life directions, when we’re together it’s always the same. It was really good to just laugh and be silly and myself. My friend is an amazing person – she’s just beautiful inside and out. She’s got this inner light about her that people are drawn to. It’s like she has a neon sign over her head that blinks “Good Soul Here.”

This reminded me of an unpublished post I was working on a few months ago. It was about my friends who I idolize. At the time, I felt like I was working on some cliched love letter that quickly became awkward, but as I get older and more comfortable with myself I find that I’m less awkward about sharing those mushy feelings. I do have some truly amazing friends and I hope everyday that their inner and outer beauty will rub off on me and make me a better person.

Our futures so bright, we have to wear shades.
